This track is a continuation of the project to build an Intermediate grade descent from the summit of Makara Peak.
Like the rest of the project, this track is designed to be busy, with plenty of swerves, wriggles, and rollers. The typical gradient is around 7%, though a few sections are around 10% (the maximum sustained gradient on North Face) – and there is even a short, though fairly gentle, climbing section towards the end.
Nestled in between North Face and Smokin', the name JFK comes from a Grassy knoll located approximately halfway down. Once the track is complete, this grassy knoll will be the location of a pair of sweeping corners.
